Can I distribute titles from your store? If you are a Distributor interested in the music offered in our store, please email us for a catalogue and we can discuss a wholesale program.
Can you sign my band? As a small company, we have to be selective about who we work with and the types of deals we can offer. We are focused on Rock n Roll, but have also worked with Rock, Alternative and Garage Bands, as well as Singer-Songwriters. In all cases, Artists must have great music, a great live show, a good idea of what they want to achieve and an understanding of the challenges (good and bad) that they will face in this business.
If you feel you qualify, send us an email with a link to your website to start the process with the following in the subject line: Attention: New Artist. In your email, be sure to outline what you are hoping to achieve in the next 24 months and what role you would like RCD Music to play.
How do I get my CD into your store? Our store is a boutique featuring Artists that we have crossed paths with that we believe deserve to be made available to the general public. We do not intend on becoming a warehouse or on-line superstore with thousands of titles. We are more interested in fostering a community of Bands and Fans that dig what we like… high energy rock in all its incarnations and singer-songwriter / roots music that has a good vibe and great feel. If you think you fit, send us an email with a link to your music and we will reply within 2 weeks with an answer for you.
What is Bhurr Records? Named after our dog and original label mascot “Bhurr”, BHURR RECORDS is the vehicle we use to press and distribute cds for sale and/or promotional use. Bhurr Records is a member of CIRPA, under RCD Music Ltd.
What is IndieBlast®? IndieBlast® was a national New Music / Artist Development program that RCD Music co-ordinated and produced from 1999 through 2004. The program included an Annual Compilation CD and Live Music Series. We still are active with many of the 100+ Artists that we worked with through this program and are currently reviewing the program for re-launch in 2006.
What is Octobertunes? October was Rebecca’s cat and the name had a good ring to it. It is also the home for RCD Music’s publishing and licensing business where we are a member of SOCAN, CMRRA and AVLA.
When can I expect my CD / Merchandise to arrive? We fulfill all orders within 48 hours of receipt. Orders received on the weekend will be shipped on Monday. We ship by surface / air mail which means delivery will vary depending on where the order is going but in North America, it is typically less than 1 week from order to delivery.
Who is behind RCD Music? RCD Music is run by Rebecca (the R) Case and Chris (the C) Case from an office in mid-town Toronto, with a little help from many of our friends in Canada and around the world. Rebecca is in charge of publishing, licensing, web development, marketing and administration. Chris is involved in sales, marketing, promotion, management and live events. All A&R decisions are made by Rebecca and Chris together.
